 I don't remember where I heard about lap blankets, it was sometime in the last few months and somewhere on social media 

but bless them because lap blankets are the best. thing. ever.

What size do you make yours?? I've got one in progress and I'm trying to decide if it's big enough.

Mine is around 3x4 but of stretchy yarn so it covers a little more area than expected. Since I'm crocheting, it's pretty easy to just go until it seems big enough. It covers my lap both directions so if I want it to hang down over my lower legs I can turn it sideways or flop it across my lap and tuck my feet under.
