- Moon of the Turning Leaves by Waubgeshig Rice - my god they are so good at writing (I think somewhat unintentional) horror in basic things with simplicity in prose. It's amazing. post apocalyptic, sequel. library ebook
- The Butcher of the Forest by Premee Mohamed - very fairytale-esque but super good novella. library ebook
- The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook by Matt Dinniman - continues to be a solid series for easy reading of silly nonsense. library ebook
- Cascade Failure by LM Sagas - the narrator for this was phenomenal. The book and story are more like a mid budget action film in that there are lots of big feelings and the plot doesn't super make a ton of sense but hey found family is cool. library audiobook
- Necrobane by Daniel M Ford - second in the series, solid fantasy read, the stakes are getting higher. library ebook
- The Gate of the Feral Gods by Matt Dinniman - solid nonsense, good. library ebook
- The Raven and the Reindeer by T Kingfisher - I think this is one of her older books but the audiobook came out and the narrator is very good. Good balance between danger and adventure and humor as usual with her books. library audiobook
- Free from Falling by EL Massey - it's just so sweet and nice. library ebook
- Petty Treasons by Victoria Goddard - I wanted to have some feelings, good for that. physical book I own
- The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch - too much horror for me
- Over Sea, Under Stone by Susan Cooper - not for me I think, maybe too young protag for my taste from what I can remember
- Can't Spell Treason without Tea by Rebecca Thorne - I tried the audiobook, might be better as an ebook where I can skim it more, but once I hit more than five eyerolls , it was time to quit. also the narrator had some serious accent variation which was distracting
