When the plumber came by on Sunday, he used the outlet that the tiny freezer is plugged into. The top outlet is broken, so I told him to unplug the freezer and use that one.

Well, I forgot we unplugged the freezer until this morning, when I looked at the freezer light and realized it wasn't on.

I lost my tiny mind for some reason. Could not make a decision on what to do with the meat. I plugged the freeze back in and waffled on whether to sort it out before or after work right up until I went to leave the driveway and then abruptly decided to just get it dealt with.

I startled F and garbled out an explanation on my way down to the basement.

I dug out the stuff and tossed bad stuff in a box, good stuff went on top of a bin until I got through it all.

Thankfully more stuff was still frozen or partially frozen than I thought, most of the losses were the hamsteaks on the very top or very bottom. There was some liver, some ground pork and a few other things that I tossed for worry even if they might have been fine.

I'm glad I got it done quick though. Now I'm in the office for work related stuff which was part of the worry because I had to be here by 8:30 for a meeting. Zoom so I could have done it in the car a little. Oh well.

If it's any consolation, I had got to the point of opening a service ticket before realizing that the reason the new filters for the upstairs purifier didn't fit was because one does not just set the fan unit on them, there's a metal mesh box the filter goes in and the fan sits on that.

There seems to be some losing-mind stuff going around.

Glad the freezer losses are less than they might have been.
