Well I had a good run
Apr. 23rd, 2024 09:16 amTested positive for covid this morning, first time I've had it. Currently feels like sore throat and a little tired. Either it is from the hockey games despite strict masking or I caught it in the office when I went in on Thursday, goofed it by taking my mask off since there was only two people in and they weren't working near me. I know better.
Need to text my boss, and the people I had dinner with on sunday. Line on the test was very faint, so I'm hoping I didn't have enough viral load to spread it.
I'll call my doctor, not that I've spoken to her in around two years. Ah well.

Date: 2024-04-23 02:31 pm (UTC)Well, boo.
There's pretty good evidence that it's worth it to do what you can to reduce the viral load in your nose and throat; Enovid, anything of the nasal sprays with carrageenan, povidone gargle, CPC > 0.07% mouthwash, even plain salt water.
Best of luck!

Date: 2024-04-23 03:20 pm (UTC)The first time I had Covid was 3 days of no problem and 7 days of horrible head-cold type misery. The second time, I got Paxlovid the same day as the faint red line appeared; I got my first dose of Paxlovid that same evening. The next day, I lay around waiting to feel worse than slightly off. By the following day, I was both bored and an insomniac - usually I nap my way through being sick - so I went back to work. (Yay teleworking.)

Really hope it is mild and has no future impact.
