unicorndukeLoad #4 into the storage unit today. I'm a little concerned about space, because I have a 5x15 unit and that isn't super large. But I should be okay.
I'm more or less done with the smaller items that need to go into storage with the exception of maybe some clothes and probably some things I dig out of weird places. I think the place I'm staying has kitchen supplies but I'm not 100% sure on that yet, so that stuff may or may not go into storage or with me depending. So 2-3 boxes at best. I spent some time yesterday blitzing through the living room area, vacuuming, picking things up, throwing out, sorting, I vacuumed the big comfy chair. Honestly, most of the stuff I was finding was Jade's and not mine, so it went into the Jade bin that I've been collecting.
The rest of the boxes will go to the new place.
Big items that need to go in: two coffee tables, the second set of cube shelves that I need to pull out of Jade's room, the big squashy chair, two big tall bookshelves in Jade's room, the chest freezer, the dresser, the desk/desk chair and my bed.
I may take the desk and desk chair with me to the new place but I'm still waffling on that. I know there is one table but desk might be better.
Actually there's plenty of room if I just shove it all in there but I wanted to maintain at least a tiny bit of space for me to reach the back of the storage unit to pull my stuff out as needed. Honestly, I'm mostly thinking about fiber for spinning but we'll see. The coffee tables are getting stacked on top of the two sets of cube shelves and I can probably put something small on top of them as well.
Other than that, I went to the grocery store and co-op first thing this morning and got a bunch of food which if I supplement with an order or two of delivery and a farm stand run, should last me until move days.
still to work on in the next few days: take apart work monitor/dock set up, organize fiber stuff that is coming with me, start packing clothing, clean out the emergency bin of older supplies and refresh, clear coffee table that the tv sits on and get it ready for storage. I need to pull the big couch out and I'm a bit afraid of what's under it. I may wait on that.
The weather doesn't look spectacular for the next week or so, either snowing or extremely cold, so I may wait for the next load for a bit.

Your storage unit may be different, but my experience with them is that they have an awful lot of up if there's stuff -- like mattresses or bins of fibre -- that can go up there on top of the solid pile of boxes, etc. So it might be possible to keep the spinning stuff at the front, just high?
May the couch have no awful surprises!

I could always make Jade clean under the couch :P
