I was going to make a post like two days ago but I didn't and don't exactly remember what all I was going to talk about.

Last weekend was the first in a while that I've been home (NY). So I took Mara to the dog park, hit up the farmers market (omg so many plums are in season) and then I ran over and rippled some flax at the A Farm. Oh shoot, I should probably go over there tonight and get some more done. B had finished harvesting her flax and it looks lovely!

Don't remember the rest of saturday.

Sunday, I baked zucchini bread. When I first went gluten free, I tried making it with bob's red mill AP mix and it didn't turn out well multiple times. So I gave up. Sunday I tried two different flour mixes and they both turned out great so I'm pleased. And now I have four loaves of zucchini bread. Or I did. I also processed most of the zucchini I had so I've got 8 cups in the freezer and I used four sunday for those batches. Also made yogurt.

I'm planning to make sausage pizza tonight, trying a new recipe so we'll see how that goes.

Oh yeah, went ice skating sunday to try the new (used) ice skates and they definitely make a difference to have nice name brand ones. They feel very different but in a good way. I was sore by the end of it, but that will just take time to get used to them. I can still do backwards crossovers which is good.

I'm also working from home today, it's kinda rainy and I don't have much to do so I'm alternating working and other things. Made lunch: potatoes and sausage, very tasty

I got a sidejob request this morning and I was waffling on going over and rippling so I decided to do sidejob work and that way I could make the pizza that I prepped crusts for earlier today. One crust turned out right, the other was basically thin crust because I forgot to switch them in the oven. Made marinara, had ricotta, mozzarella and sausage. Dumped it on the thin crust.

Got most of the way through making stuff and I look out the window and there is a DOOM CLOUD. hmm I say.

Five minutes later, an absolute pouring rainstorm happened so probably for the best I didn't go ripple. I mean, it could have completely missed the farm but I've got pizza now.

I also made creamed corn with the tiniest bit of jalapenos in it and it is Good.

I'm going to go bake something in a few minutes so I stop posting things (and also so I have something to take over to the farm tomorrow when I got to ripple) but I've been looking at schedules for hockey seasons and since the Connecticut Whale moved to Danbury, CT, I actually will go to more games than I did. The half hour closer cuts my total time by at least an hour, if not more due to lack of traffic in comparison to Stamford or Newark (Riveters). I put some games on my schedule and I'm pretty excited to be honest! I don't think I can make any hockey games, including NCAA until November due to my schedule conflicting in late september and then both local NCAA and CTW playing away games most of october.

but hockey! soon!

but yeah, 2 hours and 15 minutes to a game arrived an hour early (I love watching warmups), 2ish hours for the game, and 2 hrs 15 minutes back puts me at about 7.5 hours total, which is really really good in comparison to 9 hours that it was last year. I did make it to one Riveters game, but it was a long day and a long drive back. the other advantage is that I don't need to take 87, which is so crowded down near NYC.

Yay hockey!

Got up and immediately got extremely tired so no baking.

I'm cross posting this from the woho community on pillowfort where I posted it

Hi everyone!

It's been quiet on on the community, despite the chaos of this current off season. I put together this calendar, similar to one I did around the spring of last year so I can keep track of woho games currently happening.

Leagues/orgs currently on the calendar: NWHL, SDHL, IIHF,  and some USA/CAN games coming up.

When we find out more from the PWHPA on exhibition games they may be putting on, I will get them on the calendar. Once we get closer to major tournaments and those schedules are released, I'll add those on as well.

I will probably also put the AWIHL games on there. My aim is to have leagues that stream their games online posted as well as special events happening. I'm not sure yet if I will be posting Liiga Naiset (Finland's league) or the ZhHL/WHL (Russia's league) games on here, mainly because I don't know if they will be streaming any games and I'm having a lot of difficulty finding schedules.

Okay, some searching tells me that the WHL streams their games on their youtube page and I have found a schedule. One reason I may add them is that the Kunlun Vanke Rays are now playing in their league this year. Let me know if you think I should add them.

Other than that, get ready because hockey season is coming!
