unicorndukeI am perpetually two weeks behind on my podcasts and that's after I stopped listening to the ones that I only put on there for background noise. I normally listen while I drive but obviously I'm not driving anywhere. I mostly listen while walking the dog now and there was a point where I almost caught up, I think I was a couple of episodes from being caught up and then fell behind again. I think I'm going to try and listen more while doing fiber arts stuff. Maybe. Who knows.
We got rain two days ago into yesterday and the temperature got above freezing so all the snow started to melt. Then right around dusk, the wind picked up and blew in the cold so all the water froze. It was 15F with a 2F wind chill this morning. The snow is uncomfortable for Mara to walk on since it's really crunchy top and she doesn't like it but there was so much ice. She did her best but she hit a big patch of ice and her back feet went out and she slid to her stomach. She's definitely feeling older because she just sat there on the ice while I scooted her feet back to normal position and then sideways off the ice so she had traction. I sat next to her for a minute or two while she laid there, then helped her up. Took the less icy way back.
I had even taken my long johns off for a day or two.
There's a dozen things I could do today and fudge nuggets, I just remembered I forgot to get the meat out of the freezer for lasagna tonight. Okay, meat now in fridge. I'm making a noticeable dent in my freezer stash so I guess I better keep it up. Anyway, a dozen things I could do and I'll only probably make lasanga and yogurt and do nothing else.
Another package of seeds arrived. One is in the mail on its way and the last one is still in hell. Not really, but there's a huge delay on shipping out from a lot of seed companies and they are having issues with covid slowing down their packing and shipping departments when they are having a 3x increase in sales. oh well. I'm going to aim to have all my seeds processed by March 1st and then I'll put a list out here if anyone wants any of the seeds I've got plenty of, I can ship them.
