unicornduke | lowkey birthday in these plague times

not that I've ever celebrated highkey but this was lower key than normal

normally when Jade or I has our birthday, we go out to dinner or brunch and get cake, maybe a small present or two, whatever the birthday person requests.

Since these are the rona times, we managed to get breakfast this morning as takeout and eat it in a nearby park. Then I picked up my own birthday ice cream cake from the grocery store when I had to go anyway.

(breakfast/brunch place does delicious food but they don't have any outdoor seating and normally they are very busy. They serve french toast with pastry cream and bananas. It's amazing. I usually just grab pancakes, homefries and bacon because the homefries are cheesy and delicious and the bacon is good and the pancakes are adequate. Adequate pancakes is all I ask for because they aren't the focus for me)

technically my birthday is later this week, but who has time to celebrate a birthday on a weekday anyway
