So we were out of propane yesterday, it went fine, we got our delivery around 10am and the house has warmed back up. In the past week or so, my bathroom has smelled godawful. We don't have p-traps on my bathroom sink or the kitchen sink and so occasionally it's a little smelly. It's fine for now.
My bathroom smelled, I assumed something was hung up in the system somewhere and planned to get a drain snake and snake the toilet to clear it out.
However.
We got the propane in and suddenly my bathroom stopped smelling! I didn't understand why the propane would make the bathroom smell and that's when I learned that a lot of dryers actually run on propane! And ours does!
I'm not entirely sure why the propane lines would smell horrible while they were empty but I guess we have an early warning system for running out (not that I plan to do it again).
My goals for the next two days are to: make a trash run to take stuff we took out of the shed to the transfer station, sweep the shed?, make some granola, bread, gingersnaps and hit the road on Thursday.
I'm going to still go away for the holiday but I think I'm going to come back a little earlier than planned so I can get some stuff done around the house. I'm definitely feeling better about eliminating two problems in one go.
The cats are settling in the spare room and are out of their carriers and eating food so that's good! All I have of them are blurry pictures and the camera F put in the room to keep an eye on them so I will post pictures at some point soon. Their names are Pumpkin and Cinnamon and they are orange cats, 3 and 4 years old, a bonded pair. They weren't adopted because they're a bit skittish and bonded pair and one of them is FIV positive. So we've got cats!
