Jul. 25th, 2019 08:44 pm I feel like I prepared for an expedition this afternoon.
Which, tomorrow kind of is.
I'm picking up two pigs worth of meat from a processor three hours away in the middle of nowhere. My coworker is getting married this weekend so shes very busy and one of the pigs is coming to PA for storage since she doesn't have the full freezer space.
Tomorrow plan, walk Mara, grab the stuff I couldn't pack tonight and load us both up, leave by 6am, grab ice from the grocery store. Drive 3 hours into the middle of nowhere more or less. Pick up meat. Drive an hour and a half southish to a field. J is meeting me at a field to take NDVI readings with a drone and I'm doing handheld readings. Neato but mostly justification for some mileage. J is taking pig meat 2 and splitting it with another two coworkers. Then I'm driving south to PA, where I will presumably take a nap or something.
I've loaded up on podcasts and snacks so I'm about as good to go as I can. I have four coolers and one that will have my food and can be overflow. Most of my stuff is already packed.
I'll try and get some pictures because the area where I'm going to supposed to be beautiful.
