I just overnighted a bunch of apple leaves through UPS so that was an exciting start to my morning
The rest of my day is going to be boring. I have to mail some newsletters but I get to watch hockey while doing it (IIHF WW Division 1A) so not all bad.
I'm hoping to get out the door early and head to PA. If I get very lucky, I might be able to get into the field and rototill tonight before the first rain comes through. It's supposed to rain a lot on sunday night, which is not ideal because I want to plant monday as well, but depending on how things go, I might help mulch and prune blueberries if my parents go to auction tomorrow.
arg.
I went and simplified my planting plan yesterday because I really didn't need some of the things I was planting and I was doing two patches of tomatoes when I didn't really need to, etc. So here it is.
Spring veg - I ditched a few of the peas and squished down the ones that I'm not saving seed from. I think I also need to move 238 pea to the other row because it's a pole pea but also I just found how cheap the netting is that is much cheaper and easier than my chicken wire idea. I haven't really decided what I'm irrigating yet, probably carrots, maybe the other stuff. idek. I'm lazy.

Spring Grain. The oats I should be able to harvest with the pull behind combine once we replace the belt so I got them into a block and I think I'll be leaving a drive row once I see how it is offset from the tractor. The 327 and 326 flax shouldn't cross much but I'll only harvest seed from the areas away from where they are close. I might also stick some cover crop in between, I haven't decided yet.

These will hopefully both be planted this weekend. We'll see how that goes.
And then summer veg. Now just twoish rows of tomaotoes and I really pared down the squash, melons, cukes and watermelons because I am not handpollinating stuff. Summer grain is the same as it was.
