 I'm exhausted

stayed up super late last night chatting with mom. went to sleep at midnight, got up at 6 like normal on the weekend.

split wood for a few hours, packed apparently not well and drove back. watched three hockey games, all very intense (RPI lost the last game so hard. I had a feeling they would. they put up a very good fight)

as it turns out, my arms are sore from splitting wood. since this is going for sap boiling, it has to be split very small since the small stuff burns faster and hotter. it ideally is the size of my wrist in diameter. making big logs into tiny logs takes a lot more arm work than normal splitting and I disocvered that my arms were sore when I was driving and finally left the road I spent 2.5 hours going 70 on, and I realized it because when I shift into second gear, all the muscles in my arm and shoulder are aligned just so to make every sore muscle move.

I'm tired as hell and I promised the family that I would play dnd tonight so that is going to start at 8:30

kinda ugh to be honest. I'm not super hungry but I know I need to eat something other than ice cream so I might just eat some yogurt and granola.

Yay home safe!

"Eat something you have to chew" (granola would certainly qualify) tends to help. (Not to be understood as an endorsement of undercooked rice!)

If you're going to take ibuprofen, taking it when you've eaten is better. (Which I'm sure you know, but which I tend to forget when I'm hungry...)
