Setting a long term goal/plan
Feb. 28th, 2019 06:41 pmI wouldn't say I've done a lot of long term fun goal setting and planning since I left college. I pretty much used my energy up figuring out how to spend that semester in Ireland.
The other goal planning has been much more adult and not fun focused like finding a house with a yard so I could adopt a dog, getting a new job. Adopting a dog is a long term plan fun thing but it isn't very specific.
I've been thinking and I want to go to the 2020 IIHF Women's World Hockey Tournament that's in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Like a week so I can watch ALL the games.
That's a specific and definitely achievable goal. It's in April next year in Halifax and Truro. It's a good time to go because work and farm stuff isn't too too busy, but it isn't the middle of winter to risk terrible storms, although there would be a little risk because Canada. Although maybe they have a bit of an ocean warm?
I'm set to pay off my truck loan later this year, so that will definitely help with saving up and provided the potential move in August happens with relatively low expenses, I'd be saved up by April.
So I think this is a thing I'm going to work towards and I hope I can make it happen!
