I'm trying to convince myself to get some errands run after work and it just feels impossible for some reason
too dark, can't leave the apartment
and by after work, I mean, after I get home, walk the dog and feed her.

Date: 2019-02-05 04:08 pm (UTC)when like. i could just. move his car. i could even put it in front of the fire hydrant while i get mine out, and then put it back and drive mine away. but it's too many steps so i can't even begin it, and i absolutely can't ask for help, that's just crazy talk!!!
it's so frustrating. i hope you get unstuck.

Date: 2019-02-05 04:33 pm (UTC)I need food because battenkill's truck broke down so I wasn't able to get milk and I just got really unfocused after that point and didn't go to the grocery store so I have cream from the week before and eggs but no milk so I can't eat granola for breakfast because I have no milk and then I just straight up forgot to make something for lunch today so I have canned chicken and rice that I don't particularly want to eat but I'm hungry so I will. And no eating out unless I want granola bars from stewarts. I have extra rice that I made last night, why didn't I bring that? I also forgot to bring an apple. what was I doing this morning.
but last night I managed to put my laundry away, do all my dishes, email an invoice so that's all done I guess.
But I've got dinner made from last night so that's something.
But I really do need to get some things done on the week nights because like, I can't just pack all this shit onto the weekends, then I wouldn't have any time to sit around and/or do stuff!
maybe tonight I will manage to 1. get to the grocery store 2. go to the hardware store since it's close although it closes at 7 so it doesn't leave a lot of time to get there
I also need to work out/stretch tonight.
(fuck grocery stores)

Date: 2019-02-05 05:17 pm (UTC)actually i hate hardware stores even worse because i have some kind of mental defect where I walk into a Home Depot and immediately forget why I'm there. It's a little less bad in an Ace or something but it's never good. My eyes kind of glaze over and I'm like "paint chips" and then I never buy whatever the fuck it was. I literally have resorted to buying lightbulbs on Amazon because I was so tired of going to the store for them and coming back with something entirely else.
(drain cleaner. i have so much drain cleaner.)
(i already forgot what it is that i realized i needed when i got home from there the last time)
(but it wasn't drain cleaner)
(which i have more of now)

Date: 2019-02-06 01:35 am (UTC)I think it's more a momentum problem. Once I sit down, I don't really get up. But I'm tired so I don't want to do anything before I sit down plus I'm usually hungry by that point, ~5-6pm. Plus food makes me tired.
The best time is before I get home if my errands don't take long, I can usually get them done. Like stopping through the post office, making a fast grocery store trip. But for something like the hardware store, I'll need a solid hour for my current project and it's hard to convince myself to do that. But I got some other stuff done around the apartment.

Date: 2019-02-06 02:18 am (UTC)I find hard boiled eggs work pretty well; so does dried fruit. (I mean, fresh fruit, too. But dried usually wins on portability and storage.)

Date: 2019-02-06 12:20 pm (UTC)It doesn't happen much maybe every other month, if only because I'm on a pretty steady consistent food schedule. I eat every 2-3 hours throughout the day unless I"m out of food like yesterday and skip my morning snack, which is what caused it I think.
