one of the ladies who helps us with chickens in exchange for feet has a bunch of hazelnut trees and i am jealous. she has promised to look up what kinds they are and whether they're hybrids or not. maybe we can take cuttings? annie wants a hazel hedge along the south end of the garden, next to the stream bank, for erosion control without the shade issues the shitty trees there are causing.
