 I just read a recipe post that said, with NO IRONY, that it was a terrible thing that everyone scrolls to the bottom of a recipe blog just to get the recipe and how in the good old days, people would sit down and read the newspaper articles before cutting out the recipe.

very very occasionally they do have something interesting to say, sometimes about the dish. So I generally scroll and skim.
