new phone still lost in the transit between kentucky and here, it's been 5 days since it last was scanned. someday it will arrive. I don't know what service Unihertz uses for their free shipping but damn what the hell.

my other package, a heated blanket will arrive sometime today. I'm not in the field today, we pushed it to next week, so I'm leaving this afternoon for my parents and driving while listening to a grant meeting.

I was feeling a bunch of existential dread and weird feeling this morning and was worried about getting sick, but I just ate some food and feel better so I think I was just hungry. Stomach troubles bleh. I ordered takeout last night and while it was delicious, I don't think it agreed with me.

The heat running has been waking me up overnight since the pipes knock when it runs. Hopefully I'll get used to it soon. I also woke up at 4am for no reason. rude body. oh wait, that was the dream where I went traveling to visit friends and forgot my computer charger which was vital for some reason and all of my clothing except what I was wearing. weird brain.

Busiest weekend of the fall coming up, so I'm heading down early to prepare as much as possible. The weather looks amazing too so we should be really busy. after that, it's all downhill and easy.

May the weekend go well!

Commiserations; even Canada Post has stopped doing a lot of intermediate scans. Had a few things show up before anything I could see would admit the package was in the system.

If it's a hot water heating system knock is potentially related to air in the lines and the radiators should have little valves that let you vent them to get the air out of there. Just try not to vent them on you, because it's generally hiss-hiss-boiling water coming out of the valve.

I hope your weekend turns out well!

A heated blanket sounds nice right now. I have been avoiding turning on the heater, but I may start since it dropped to about 32F last night
