One of the things we do are group outings and often people book them for birthday parties. There are a ton of people who assume parents will be free which isn't the case because when the parents come along, they are still using our hayrides, often picking pumpkins, going through the corn maze, sitting around our campfires and so on.

It's actually kinda wild how many people assume that parents are free. Why would they be? This isn't a kid's birthday place specifically, we actually have adults book birthday parties here and they pay for everyone. I've had a couple of people ask if they could do it anyway but we just have no way to tell who is doing what. We do the honor system for the corn maze, but to do it for the whole outing is a bit of an ask.

Anyway. Brought to you by emails. Many emails.

Maybe a note in the checkout function reminding people not to forget to get tickets for the adults in the party as well as the kids?

Why would parents be free? I liked one business rule I saw that was “if you are old enough to use the toilet, you pay.”
