Wild productivity
Aug. 2nd, 2024 11:49 amI had taken yesterday and today off work for the trip, so I just let my boss know and she said it was fine that I would take two days off next week to (work is so slow, the July lull is happening again, mainly because we don't have a lot of trials this year and we aren't doing things like tomatoes that need lots of harvesting).
Yesterday I relaxed, watched Olympics (finally finished the whole equestrian eventing, started watching rugby which I still don't understand but it is very fun), spun yarn, worked on the waistcoat and played video games. I did wash laundry and hang it to dry outside since it was hot.
Today I woke up and wasn't really hungry for breakfast, so I cleaned instead. Got the house swept and vacuumed, emptied the clean dishwasher and drying rack, got all the dirty dishes washed or put in the dishwasher, cleaned the stove, sink and counters. Cleaned a few things out of the fridge. Finally ate around 9am which is really late for me, not sure what's up with that.
Then worked on my loom, getting my sample project threaded, sleyed and tied on. I'm not sure I'm happy with it, the pattern is supposed to be a mostly square diamond and it's very elongated horizontally, so I might need to adjust the sett of the warp. I'm very pleased with the color and while I was worried that the cones of warp that have different dye batches and are visibly different to my eye, it isn't noticeable in the warp.
My dad has asked me to do some research for the farm that he doesn't have time to, paying me for it which is nice. So I worked on that yesterday and today.
It's supposed to be 90f today and I want to do something fun, so I'm going ice skating in a little bit since it's a weekday and I can.

One week would be really fast to stop being contagious with COVID; three would be more prudent. Which ain't great but better than anyone else getting infected.

We can't move it any later in the year, the farm gets too busy in Sept getting ready for the fall and all of us kids are busy in the end of August. This is honestly mostly to get my parents away from the farm, so we can be flexible about it.
