April Goals

And two ply yarn. Measured and on the cone today, so it will be heading to the loom soon. This is for my fleece to garment in a year project

Purple singles that took a very long time. Finished these while I had covid and was bored. I need to ply it now that I emptied all the bobbins.

This is the Clun Forest spin that went extremely fast. Long draw, extra squashy. I'm just going to do a 2 ply and set it aside for weaving weft. I'm amassing a collection of 4oz amounts of different breeds of coarse wools that someday I will throw on a sturdy warp and make some rugs or something.

No pictures of gloves, they're the same as the pair in this post with less tension to make them a little larger. And no pictures of the alpaca fleece, it's brown and squishy. That will be blanket warp someday.
May crafting goals

Date: 2024-05-04 01:50 pm (UTC)Since I spin primarily on antique wheels, I decided to do storage bobbins for my yarn management strategy and get a bobbin winder, instead of getting a ball winder and doing balls to ply from since I don't feel they are very sturdy. So I've got about 12 storage bobbins for singles and the electric wheel I have for plying has six big bobbins. I could purchase more if I wanted to since they're 3D printed, but having a limit on bobbins does make me empty them.
