~The Sweater~

This sweater was four years in the making. I bought a Romney fleece at the Adirondack Wool and Arts festival in Sept 2021, my first raw fleece. I dropped it at the Battenkill Fiber Mill booth with payment because they took it back to the mill and washed it for me and they said it would be a few weeks. Several months later, I realized that I hadn't heard from them. To be fair, in this time, I packed up most of my belongings and put them in a storage unit to move into an apartment in my friend's barn for several months. I called them and hung out the phone while the person on the other end went searching for the fleece and found it in a storage closet in their office.
