Several day recap
Feb. 9th, 2021 08:59 am With winter, day tracking is so much harder to remember, weekends, bleed into days especially now with the pandemic and I don't really go anywhere or if I do need to do things, I sometimes do them on weekdays to avoid crowds.
So it's tuesday. I stream tonight. Thank goodness for phone reminders.
Sunday I went ice skating again and it was great again. I actually got their early enough that they were still resurfacing the ice, which consists literally of hosing the rink down with a literal large hose. I had the rink to myself for 45 minutes, only ate shit once although that was in front of the worker who resurfaced the rink. Ah well, these things happen. I hopped off the rink when two dudes showed up with hockey sticks and no masks.
I relaxed most of the day sunday, playing video games and stuff like that.
yesterday, I finished weaving the little band I'd been working on and now I have a million more ideas. I still need to get it off the poles and secured but I think it's good to go. I also did a bunch more carding, both of the shetland and I picked the gotland back up and both are so wildly different in carding techniques needed so it's really interesting to compare them.
I also made scones :) I've got plans to make ice cream, chocolate first and then the no churn vanilla to use up the last of the cream. I guess I should put my farmers market order in soon huh. Maybe I'll make lasagna this weekend.
This morning I'm watching a webinar put on by my former employer. I contract with them to do various projects, some are excel sheet stuff and some are plan writing. And boy am I remembering why I left. It's just weird.
It's also less intensive conference/meeting season with my actual job having 2-4 sessions per week. I anticipate getting a bunch of knitting done. I figured out how to get both sleeves of my sweater onto a circular and it's going pretty well.
