Mar. 12th, 2019 08:44 amI am still tired although my sore throat is now gone. I still feel a little clogged in my one ear. I can't tell if it was a real sickness or it was just a combo of too little sleep and daylight savings. it's really fucked me up this time. Jade had to wake me up around 6:30 since I turned my alarms off. I went to bed at like, 8 and was asleep by 9 although mara woke me up around 2 barking at someone out walking their dog at 2 in the fucking morning and crunching the snow. it took me a while to fall back asleep.
I finally got around to setting my first skein of yarn that I had made over a year ago and got it off the niddy noddy. I then took the yarn I had on my drop spindle and put it on the niddy noddy for setting maybe tonight so I can just move it along. I did have some issues with it, I think because it was on my drop spindle for over a year, the twist settles out of it somehow so at one point, I had to reconnect a section that had lost twist and come apart. It is just really fine yarn. I'm not going to ply it or anything because that's a lot of effort.
I've got some more types of roving to fiddle with and now that I cleared my heavier drop spindle I'm going to work with some of the coarser roving. I can't do them on my new drop spindle because it just unspins itself since it's light. I think I can try some of the really fine stuff on my light drop spindle but I might also just buy another new heavy one.
I'm at work in the close office but like, not doing much.
I should be fine to go ice skating tomorrow, I was going to go last night but obviously not feeling well. It looks like I'll be heading to PA this weekend too.
I started a new crochet project after I finished my last blanket. It's going to be a pride flag blanket because I'm queer and have a lot of different color yarns.
