Grocery stores are now a deeper level of hell than they had been Before

I hate grocery stores and I had to go this morning and I almost cried and felt really nauseous, so that's....fun.

They are the worst sensory hell, bright lights, lots of colors, weird layouts, people everywhere, lots of sounds. And then add pandemic conditions and I'm glad I won't need to go for another month. Any resupply I do will be from farm stands and that's pretty much just dairy and eggs. Before, I even used to wear noise cancelling headphones because it helped.

I make a list so I can get the things I need and then I end up with at least 2-3 weird things that I don't know why I bought. Today's were fancy chocolate gelato, banana chips, and twizzlers. The banana chips are really bland but maybe I thought I could snack on them? I don't know. 

But I did manage to get an ice cream cake for Jade's birthday on Sunday. There were plenty in stock at the store thank goodness. 

The co-op is always easier to manage and I got there right as it opened. It's smaller but there's less people and they're generally more considerate.  I got a bunch more baking supplies since I've been trying to do smaller more frequent flour buying since I make my own flour blends plus other people might need it. I'm all resupplied on chocolate as well, which I was out of baking chocolate. It made me sad. Not sure what I'm going to bake next but I baked and froze some biscuits last night because they are great for lunch. 

Actually, I might pull some fruit out of the freezer and come up with something because I have a lot of fruit in the freezer. 

I am exhausted now and kinda want to nap. Unfortunately I have work to do, helping a coworker with a website and then checking traps. I'm going to stop by a farm store to get eggs and milk while I'm out since it's vaguely on the way.

Sympathy on the overload. I have rather enjoyed the limited occupancy rules happening hereabouts.

Yeah, some places have limited people allowed and some places don't so ita a good luck situation.

I usually love living in the city...but nowadays, I definitely wish there were farms nearby that I could buy from.

Yeah, this is definitely a better place to be than a city city. I dislike it because apartment building and too many people but I suspect people who live in actual cities would laugh at me.
