somehow F cleaned the entire living room of all her stuff and moved a couch and heavy table by herself upstairs. I guess she really needed a deadline to make it happen. Waiting until literally the afternoon before to clean would give me such anxiety, I don't understand. I did a preliminary clean on Wednesday and just swept again just now.
I'm so happy the living room is clean though.
My sister's train was delayed but I should be picking her up relatively soon. We are coming back to the house, getting the stuff into coolers and heading out once the campsites are open. We might get lunch on the way.
I've been spinning doing Tour de Fleece, I don't watch the biking, I just like the spinning and everyone's pictures. I got all of the waistcoat pieces cut out and I reinforced the edges of the mohair. I had zero anxiety about cutting into the cloth, I don't know what's up with other people. I was worried about having enough fabric, I definitely shouldn't have been, the pattern fit side by side on the width of the fabric, so I've got at least half of it left over. I cut my tablet weaving project off the loom, it really wasn't working. I'm thinking about my next big loom warp since I'm about halfway through the leftover warp and if I put some actual time into it, I should finish it up quick.
We have determined that the false fire alarms are almost certainly due to high humidity in the basement, so I'm running the dehumidifiers and F is replacing the old regular fire alarms just in case. It's been over a month since the first false alarm, so if something was really on fire, I think we'd know by now. She's going to move the sensitive alarm upstairs instead because it was recommended not to put them in moist basements, which is what we have. Hopefully it will solve it, last night's was at 1am.
The mice have continued to thwart us mostly, so F finally caved and bought poison traps so hopefully they die soon. The chipmunks and squirrels have been extremely bold lately, and I had to adjust the one feeder with a squirrel baffle which was just a rubber band over the top so they couldn't pry up the lid any more.
I've been watching a lot of youtube videos lately, mostly sewing and historical costuming. I don't have plans to get into it right now except maybe to make something to wear to a Ren Faire, but I like watching the videos while crafting. I'm less interested in twitch streams than I have been in the past, so this is a good chance of pace. I'm going to get peacock at the end of the month to watch the olympics, so I might see if they have anything interesting to watch while I've got it.
Eta: extreme delays have occurred, I won't talk about it because it's so local but she's still on the train, stuck nearby. Camping may or may not happen given this and the weather but we'll see.
