Monday I did work stuff until a little after noon, I had some things to get done and needed to focus on it. After that, I was all ready to do some things and went over to the parsonage and started working on the kitchen floor. I masked up and got prying and it went decently well. It went faster than I thought once I got some good angles on the plywood and was able to pop some of the boards up. The heating unit ended up being a non issue because they had put one long two foot wide strip under it, so I was able to pop it out relatively easily without hitting the unit much. Then I got a trash can and tried to sweep. Couldn't do that because of all the tiny nails. Cranked up the music and sat on the floor shuffling around pulling nails. The nails came out extremely easily, they were all 1/2 or 5/8 inch and very small. As I worked, I cracked or pulled up the plastic under tiling so I knew where I had worked. I got around half of that done and then quit for the day so I could shower and hop on crafting.

Tuesday, we made the plan to drive down to see some people mover wagons for sale. They were used ones that a farm down near (big city) had replaced with nicer new metal ones. We took a look, the guy showing them to us was really nice but a bit extra chatty. My dad and I wandered around, on top of and under the wagons while my mom hung back and talked to the guy. They were decent enough wagons that we committed to buying three at well under the price the guy listed on facebook marketplace, so that was cool. My dad will need to pick three of the 12 or so out when he gets time to make the trip down. I suspect I won't be back in time for that.

Some of them do need a little work but they're in better shape than the one wagon we put into service last fall, so it'll give us some breathing room on wagons and they can be tandem fronts or backs. We were originally just going to buy two, but having a third will give us flexibility to pull one out to repair or if we need it for the new event business.

Then we wandered over to my cousin's place. It's been years since I saw him and in that time, he got the farm my uncle had been leasing, got married and had three kids with the youngest just over a month old. It was really nice to catch up with him and chat about all the things and then he gave us the grand tour of the farm store he had got the lease on and had done a ton of work on. And to look at the apple cider donut machine and some other things. It was awesome. It was good to see him and catch up, I think it had been 10 years or so. I definitely fell out of touch with a number of my cousins so it was good to see everyone (I have a huge extended family, so it is hard to keep up with all the cousins)

Then we went over to a flooring place where my parents didn't make a decision on flooring I think, but they did like looking at the samples. I read a book. We hit the road after that and headed home. We got back in time that I wandered over to the parsonage and finished the kitchen floor nail and plastic tile removal. Then I went around and pulled every nail I had accidentally left in the walls when removing the trim. I swept up the rooms and hallways and asked my dad his opinion on getting the fake wood paneling down without destroying the heating unit. Turns out, they mounted the heating unit backing nails behind the unit because of course they did. So we formulated a plan that I'll hopefully do today.

Wednesday, we hit the road for a conference. We debated on all three of us going but in the end it was a good drive down and we did a bunch of chatting and coming up with ideas and plans for things. The conference was good overall. I didn't have a single mask on me because I had cleaned out my truck and then used the single mask I could find for the parsonage rip out, so I'm irritated with myself for that. I ordered another two packs because I definitely was running low before this. The sessions were decent and I knitted during them (and the car drive), so I've made actual progress on my sweater.

We got back decently late last night, so no work done.
