I've started porting over all of my fiber arts posts to my website that I set up a while ago. I had been putting my fiber sampling over there but it's pretty simple to put the rest since I've got everything set up already. Since pillowfort has been down, I've been thinking a lot more about who owns what and where my posts go and where I can point people to see what I've worked on in the past as far as projects go. I also want a more collected set of records online about what I've done in the past. I have physical records that I will be taking pictures of and keeping in my dropbox but there's just something about typing everything and embedding pictures that is very satisfying to look at. reminder to self: also pull posts from instagram
I got my stimulus check yesterday and used it to pay off the last of my student loans. Yay!
I have so many fiber arts ideas and I think I may do tablet weaving soon after all. Rats. I was hoping to avoid another temptation. I'm also taking two bags of acylic yarn to be donated on Tuesday. I haven't touched those yarns basically since I started spinning and discovered how much fun wool and flax is, so someone else can use those yarns more than me. If I have the energy, I will also drop my two bags of finished crocheted items to another place and maybe maybe hit up the arts store for some crafty things including weaving supplies.
I'm also going to make another post in a day or two about the fleeces that I bought because they are incredible and I can't wait to work on them. That is going to wait at least a little bit until I work through current projects which are ramboulliet on the wheel spun extremely fine and gotland on my spindle. Both will eventually be warp yarn so they are getting a lot of twist.
