I got to camp, with none of the downsides of camping. It was glorious.

I ended up staying in the camper, which didn't take long to move and get cleaned out. It was for the best as it rained Friday night. I got to sleep in an okay bed, spread my stuff around the camper and nothing got damp.

In the mornings, I got up, took the dogs for a walk and then used the bathroom in the house (I'm the earliest awake so probably 8 hours to clear the air and I opened the window for a bit before I took my mask off to shower).  I could sit out next to the camper and eat my breakfast with the dogs hanging out with me. I listened to the birds and looked out over the fields.

And then I got to work, which was nice for both doing physical stuff reasons and because extra cash is nice. I helped get strawberry fields ready for planting, then planted on saturday. Sunday, I helped pick rocks, disked field and then drove the planter. Mara stayed in the house while I was working but I don't lick the dog and I only touched my face only right after washing my hands so I think that was fine.

I got to eat lunch outside and I got to sit out, listening to the birds and the peepers until dark, when I went to bed. I sat out and crocheted a lot and started a new project.

Honestly, a great weekend and I intent to do it again, but in a month or so. It's actually a decent amount of work to do bathroom, fridge stuff, dog stuff, charging power pack in and out of the house. The camper could have had electricity but the carbon monoxide monitor needs to be fixed and was telling me so every seven seconds while it was plugged in, so that was a problem for another time. I made do, not using my phone much, charging while I was showering and then using a power pack that I could leave in the house to charge.

On my way back, I dropped a bunch of pork to coworker and checked on my bb plants. They are SO TINY. All of them are just sprouting and I'm super excited. I'm going to head back there later this week, once they are grown up a little bit so I can do some weeding. The field I'm growing stuff in had grass and the grass is still very alive since the rootballs weren't affected by the rototilling. So far it looks like most stuff is sprouting just fine. I planted mustard, like the spice, for the first time this year and it came up great! Most of my flax looks good (variety trial so small plots), my peas are all sprouting and my garbanzos are just a tiny bit behind them. Lentils are getting there as well. Yay plants!

I moved my potatoes from seed into pots last weekend, freeing them from the cells and they seem happy enough on the balcony. I need to get them some more dirt since I didn't have a ton and fill in the rest of the pots. They might live on the balcony, I can't decide. I also brought a clump of ramps back from my parents place. They have so many in the woods all over and I want to see if they will flower and set seeds. Unfortunately they may have gotten slightly crushed in transit as a light box fell on them. Oops. Fun fact: the ramps seem to be able to grow decently under the invasive japanese knotweed that is all over the place. It hasn't really started growing yet this year and the ramps are just about done.

I also was able to get the push planter from my parents so I won't need to plant my summer crops by hand thank goodness. Nothing more terrible to be honest.

When I was gone, I turned my growlights off since I figured it wouldn't hurt the peppers too much and like four of them just decided to go bonkers and grew about two inches over the weekend. It's pretty funny.
