Life continues
Aug. 8th, 2021 08:26 pmWent to my parents' this weekend, mostly normal stuff. Did some work, cleaned some garlic.
Then this morning, I put my phone in my back pocket with the screen facing out, sat down on a milk crate and cracked the everloving shit out of the screen. Unusable since 2/3 of the screen was mostly white.
Thankfully stores were open and I was able to get a new phone within a couple of hours, then pack myself and Mara up and drive home.
I wouldn't have worried so much about it, but I knew I was going to be late getting home and I have work in the morning where I need to talk to my coworkers about planned work for the week.
I ended up with a relatively cheap motorola (~$250) and it works fine. It's far bigger than I like but it was a good price and also it was in stock.
I'm going to see if I can replace the screen on my old phone. I don't actually think I have anything on there that isn't backed up somewhere because I've killed phones pretty good before and the transfer can be funky. So I should be okay there.
I was able to turn off the color filter on the phone and made it just start flickering a lot but it meant I could see what I was clicking on enough to get my podcasts started for the drive home and to export my contacts to an email.
Time to log into all the apps on the new phone.
