Did something new and scary

unicorndukeI went to a meetup with complete strangers!
It's a yarn craft meetup group with the intent to socialize and it moves around to various cafes and casual restaurants in the area. So last night I went and it was at a board game cafe and I didn't know anyone and it was great!
I bought a nutella hot chocolate despite the weather that was just so so, and it cost five bucks for a cover to be in the cafe. The group organizer had reserved tables so we eventually had four total tables of folks crafting/crocheting/knitting.
Chatting with people was pretty easy, we talked about yarn crafts and it bounced all over from there. And even when there wasn't talking and we all kinda drifted silent, it wasn't too weird because we were all doing something and didn't sit there and stare at each other. I was wearing my buffalo beauts t shirt and one of the women actually knew who they were. So we got talking about womens hockey! And she also was thinking about playing at a rec league team in the fall so I might see her again.
I left after about an hour and a half because my thumb was sore and I needed to get to the co op but it was super great and I'm definitely doing it again.
