Cool shit happening near me in August

The Aurora Games is "a first of its kind sports and entertainment festival featuring world class competition in women’s tennis, gymnastics, basketball, figure skating, ice hockey and beach volleyball. All-star teams made up of athletes who have accounted for over 100 Olympic, World and National championships from The Americas vs The World, will be led by honorary captains Jackie Joyner Kersee and Nadia Comaneci as they compete for the Babe Didrikson Zaharias Trophy."

 

And it's in Albany!!!! 

They've got an ice hockey event! In August! So exciting! Olympians will be there! Like, it looks super fucking awesome! 

They've also got two things the Wed and Thurs before the hockey game that are meet and greets and practices up in Glens Falls, which is fucking awesome. So. I know what I'm doing in August. I might take vacation days. Wow.

August 20-25th. That's a chicken processing week and also the week before my birthday. HMMM maybe I'll go to something too! That's quite cool.

The hockey game is that Friday night at 7pm. I'm so fucking pumped, there a ton of awesome athletes going! I haven't even looked at the other stuff lol
