I want to go to the Riveters game on Saturday SO MUCH

but with the drive, it's a whole dang day and ugh

If your weekend forecast is anything like the weekend forecast up here, there shall be rain Saturday night, and while it will eventually be well above freezing not when the rain starts, 'cause it will probably start as snow.

So might-maybe not be the best choice, driving-wise?

We're actually all clear on weather. The freezing rain isn't supposed to happen until Sunday night and even then, only a 30% chance right now. Plus it's a 2pm game, so I'd be home by 8 at the latest.

I mean. I did the drive on a sunday last time and traffic leaving the city wasn't horrible. Saturday evening people are going to go into the city right?

Generally, yeah, Saturday traffic will bias in in the early evening.

So do you want to go more than you want to not be away from home for the whole day?

I think if I get shit done tonight and tomorrow night, cleaning, sidejob work, I would feel okay about spending the whole day (10am to 8pm) going to the game. And that would leave sunday for ice skating and going to goodwill to pick up stuff.

I think this is mostly a guilt about leaving my dog alone so long. But she's been fine before. And ten hours isn't bad. I've left her alone for longer and she's got a bladder of steel. It's just that it's offset from her normal hours by three hours or so.

I get some serious side eye from my cat when I go away for the whole day, so I understand the feeling.

Anybody you can get to look in on the dog?

Not really but she'll be fine. Separation anxiety on my end. Jade is probably going to come with me since she actually has off work on a saturday for once.

I'm now leaning towards going because of that so yay! I also got all of the sidejob work done that I could.

Hurrah for work getting done!
