doctor was like, why didn't you do a telehealth visit. me: I'm definitely not thinking clearly esp given it took me 20 mins to remember to take tylenol when I got home. couldn't figure out how to telehealth.

doc didn't recommend paxlovid for me since they said if I've been boostered and have no other complicating conditions, I shouldn't need it and they're seeing a lot of rebound. Explained it's headcold for the first few days, then coughing. They said to check back in if I had trouble breathing or things got worse and then they'd look into meds.

I got apple juice, sugar free menthol thingies and forgot to grab more rapid tests. I've got enough in the house to last three more tests if needed. I'm off work for the rest of the week if I want to be, need to text J and tell him I won't be shearing on friday. already told my parents it would be questionable about strawberry planting this weekend.

I guess I'm being forced to rest. I had a feeling I was going to get sick with something.

I could wish they didn't treat Paxlovid like there was still a shortage.

In a great many cases, you get about a week of a cold and then COVID moves from your nose to everywhere else.

Discouraging that movement is widely regarded as a good plan.

I’m bummed for you that your doctor would rather you suffer and risk long-term damage than risk a statistically unlikely rebound. I’m not a fan of that way of thinking. I would think that lessening your symptoms and your viral load would be paramount.

Best of luck that yours is mild and passes completely.
