Question
How the frick do people stay warm at mostly empty hockey games. I bring a blanket and hoodie/coat every time and I still end up partially chilly and there are some people here in shorts and tshirts.
I mean, right now I'm sick, so I understand but I've been to plenty other games and I'm still cold.

Taking a pad, especially one with a back -- "trail chair", generally; sometimes called a "senate seat" in Canada -- can be a big help. The LL Bean ones are fancy and have aerogel insulation.
My expectation is that the folks in shorts get really into the cheering and waving their arms parts of things.

Anything that keeps the seat from being a heat-thief helps. The more modern trail chairs have built-in space blanket layers and stuff so they're amazingly good insulation for the weight. Hopefully the extra blanket does the trick!
