I sent one important email this morning re:company sidejob. I got the seeds ready for the person who actually managed to get me their address (sidenote: apparently seed swap people have no sense of stranger danger because we just give each other our addresses and somehow it seems like a bad idea because maybe someone is faking being a grandma but no one faking would really spell that badly or use so little punctuation that I couldn't comprehend if they were talking about green beans or purple peas but who cares! there are seeds!) and I've got to package that at the post office and send it away with the ebay books.

I also sent an email part work part personal to a friend/farmer (B's sister) about a pesticide applicator course she was asking about along with the transplants they might be growing for me if they have enough room.

I'm also doing actual work stuff, this morning we went up to a farm to pick up sweet potatoes from their variety trial for taste testing :)

I'm also going through paperwork yay

I've got some data entry to do still.

After work, I'm driving to nearby town to find the used sports place for skates and then going through the grocery store because Jade is sick with a cold and needs more tissues. No seed swap tonight just because it seems dumb. I just got more seeds in the mail and a bunch more on the way with the trades I just got around to last night so ehhh, I don't need more. For now.

I am continually confused about whether or not to give random strangers my address on the Internet. I mean, the thing is, what can a random stranger do with my address besides mail me the thing I want them to? Probably not much. So. I just don't post it anywhere that anybody would find it if they were looking me up online, because you gotta figure they'd want it for nefarious/harassment purposes.

I emailed my sister about something the other day and she never wrote back, but I got a feeling she's just prioritizing. I bet she writes back to you before me, should we make a bet? LOL.

Yeah, that's what I concluded. You just do everything in private message and hope that going through the rigmarole of trading seeds or w/e is enough to weed out the weird shit. shrugs

well, she contacted me on the farm email, which is the important one. She got back to me within two hours or something haha. They're going to raise 200 plants for me :)

I emailed the farm email too! oh well. mine wasn't time-sensitive. i'm glad they can make room. 200 plants isn't really that much! I guess it depends what size flats. You're an Important Personage anyhow, after all.

They're pretty much going to raise them to be ready-to-go transplants but I'm providing the seed so they said it would be able 120 dollars or I could work to help. I figure the work is going to be more valuable.

I think I'm Important Personage because I feed them desserts :P They enjoyed the cherry brownies which I'm definitely going to make again because they were incredible. I told Z at the beginning of the conversation that the brownies were only bribery if he wanted to accept bribery.....

I definitely think the work will be more valuable to them. :)
I'm sorry to be out of range of the desserts. We are yet again out of desserts in this house and Dude resorted to eating salt and vinegar potato chips for dessert, like some kind of monster.

I keep nice chocolate around for baking so if I don't feel like making something, I've always got chocolate :)

Ha. I'm working through an ill-considered purchase of what turned out to be really crappy chocolate chips for baking. That's what I had for dessert last night. They're chalky. :(

Oh wow. Bad chocolate is always terrible, I'm sorry you ate those. Ew.

I actually use fancy eating bars for baking now. I turned into a chocolate snob somewhere along the way although I think I bought the ghirdelli bittersweet when I went in the grocery store the other day......what even was I doing, it wasn't on my list. but it's still decent chocolate.

Welp. I've been letting Dude do the shopping, and I made the mistake of saying that we needed more chocolate, like a chocolate bar, something decent, and then I got distracted, so
he brought home some of the miniature reese's cups, which are what he likes, but i sort of resent them because they're so tiny and not really very chocolate. you have to unwrap and unwrap and unwrap and then you pop it in your mouth and that's it.

he'll eat one of those and consider it dessert.

(i would joke that this is why he's skinny and i'm fat but then he'll go eat half of a bag of pork rinds and i won't, so.)
