Merry Christmas to everyone

and to me specifically.

My awkwardly placed doctor's appointment yesterday at 2pm was annoying and I had decided to drive up and back in a day. Despite a little snow on the ground, the drive was easy and fast both ways and now I have a prescription for testosterone! I'm pretty excited and I've been trialing my new name more. Am I male? no, but this is more the direction I want to be perceived. I'm hoping starting it now will make things easier for moving and potentially for future changes due to federal administration. I'm waiting on paperwork to change my name because of the future move and giving up on the gender marker for now.

It is injections, which a nurse will teach me about and I'm nervous about. I am not afraid of needles, they're fine as a concept and I can give shots to goats and sheep just fine. But I highly dislike needles in me, so we'll see if I can get over that dislike or if they'll need to switch up the type.

Merry Christmas to the folks that celebrate! May you be cozy warm and eat lots of delicious food

Yay! for getting closer to what you want.

(Also, hurrah for auspicious travel omens getting to and from.)

What a nice Christmas present for yourself.
Needles UG. A couple of months ago the Dr wanted me to check my blood sugar with one of those "stick yourself in the finger" devices. It wasn't pleasant, but it also wasn't so bad. I figured if I could do Ranch work I could manage a little prick on my finger. Anyway, I bet you can do the shots.

Exciting! May your body's reaction to testosterone go exactly as you wish it to!

I’m glad things are moving in the right direction for you, and that this quest was both smooth and successful.

I'm glad that the trip to and fro was not fraught, holiday travel can be a bit of a crapshoot. I hope things go well on the testosterone front, too. I couldn't get the pre-holiday baking schedule to work but my peeps are all old enough for post-holiday baking to be OK too. :) We're doing that this weekend.
