Printer gripes

I'm trying to print something for my guild meeting tonight in color or b/w. my printer is out of all the colors. I use it honestly, about once a month. But it always seems to be out of ink. And it forces me to cancel b/w print jobs when it's out of color ink. So today, I'm going to print at my local library and possibly just throw this thing out because it's more trouble than it's worth.

Each of the ink cartridges costs me $13 and color printing at my library is 50 cents a page. I don't print in color much at all. And b/w printing is 15 cents per page. new printer is minimum $100 plus ink. eh fuck this, I'm going to use the library I think. Or my parents printers

Yup.

Either get a real printer that expects ethernet and does for-real postscript or don't bother, because inkjets are good for specific things and being a general purpose printer is not one of those things.

I got so mad at my old HP printer that I threw it out and bought an Epson eco tank printer. The Epson has worked flawlessly and my ink cost is practically nothing. I have yet to need to refill a tank.

I bought a black and white laser printer last year sometime and it is the best thing ever. i mostly print sewing patterns and have zero need for color, if i have to print something in color i will go to kinko's or the library. hugely recommend.
