 Finally figured out that bob's red mill sells bulk stuff like duh of course they have stuff in bulk

so I've got about 12 pounds of rolled oats coming plus some other stuff because I can. 

(I'm making no bake cookies today and was contemplating how easily I run out of oats. truly a travesty)

On that note, I guess I really need to do the pantry cleanout I've been planning to do and get some room freed up in there.

oh A gets rolled oats in a 25lb bag from somewhere. i should find out where.
her stupid co-op bulk order place raised their minimums so now they can't do an order every month. grr! v inconvenient.

I wish I could do the 25lb bags but I have never once been able to do an opened bag of anything and kept it clean and free of animal hair except for sugar and that lives protected on the top of the fridge as a cat blocker. bob's red mill also does the 25lb bags but I decided on a case which is 4 3lb bags because at least I have a better chance of keeping it all together.

ah she got five pound buckets of peanut butter for a while and those have sealing lids. the dry goods go in those buckets and seal shut.
she got me good the other day, i dusted a pan with cornmeal and some was left in the measuring cup and so i dumped it back into the container marked "cornmeal" but then immediately noticed the container next to it said 'cornmeal' in sharpie on the lid and the one i'd dumped it into, the 'cornmeal' label had a line through it actually and on the other side it said 'sugar', and so i had to try to scoop the cornmeal back out of the sugar..........
yeah ok don't buy bulk stuff and repackage it now that i think this through
