 I'm watching a Q & A about cover crops and someone asked about oats that hadn't winter killed. The experts answered as they thought and then the asker said, " oh I tried what we did when I lived in Africa and I set them on fire"

I wish it was the right answer in this case but somehow, setting raised beds on fire doesn't seem to be a good answer

Kinda deprecated these days for being hard on the everything, but sound traditional answer. (Now I hope someone takes their matches away.)
