Planes, or Lack Thereof

I live about 4 miles from an international airport. Not a big one, but it is an international airport. In normal times, there's a bunch of flights in and out everyday, you can see at least one plane most of the time if you look for one.

I apparently had learned to tune them out because now with so few flights happening, I really can hear the flights that do happen. It's like a neon sign that I'd stopped paying attention to or something important moved six inches to the right.

Most of the planes I see are shipping planes now, very few people planes.

I consider the lack of people-planes a really hopeful sign that, when permitted, people do have some damn sense.

(Given what we know about circumstances of infection and aircraft ventilation, planes are a terrible idea in the present circumstances.)
