I'd figure August is busy in your line of work, yeah. Good that they're flexible about things; "everything must be scheduled six months in advance" vacation tends to suck rocks.

(My work has a mandatory week off at the start of August. Very different scheduling expectations!)

But, still, really good reason to take vacation, especially if you want to contribute your wee small iota to convincing the organizers to do it again.
